Information

Take a look below for general information and how we treat each other during the introduction week.

General information

Top priority

The organization and Breda University of Applied Sciences have as their top priority that everyone can participate in IntroLINK in a safe manner. Great importance is placed on you feeling safe and welcome during the introduction week. This is ensured from the moment you arrive until you go home again.

You start IntroLINK in the class you will begin your studies with. The introduction is organized by senior students and BUaS lecturers and staff. They will be present throughout the entire introduction and ensure that all activities run smoothly and safely.

Are there any problems or is something bothering you? You can always turn to one of these staff members. Would you prefer to speak confidentially with a staff member during the intro? Just ask the organization and the confidential advisor of BUaS will be contacted.

First aid and security

All members of the organization have also completed a first aid course during the preparation and are therefore able to provide first aid where necessary. During physical activities of IntroLINK, a professional first aider is present to ensure your own safety and the safety of your classmates and fellow students.

NIX18

During the introduction it is not permitted to bring and consume your own alcohol and drugs, and this will be strictly enforced. During the introduction alcoholic beverages will be served, with a NIX18 policy in place. We work with a wristband system which allows for direct checks on whether an underage participant is breaking the rules. Smoking is only permitted in the designated and designated areas. This also applies to e-cigarettes (vapes). The NIX18 policy also applies to this. We reserve the right to remove people from the venue who violate the rules

BUaS Code of Conduct

IntroLINK adheres to the BUaS code of conduct.
“We envision a study environment in which everyone treats each other with respect, where everyone feels safe and comfortable, and where you can study successfully.”

We must make clear what we expect from each other, what behavior is desirable, and what we mean by acting ethically and with integrity. The BUaS Code of Conduct is intended to provide clarity on this. Should unwanted behavior occur and you are unable to discuss issues or resolve problems on your own, please contact the IntroLINK organization team to get in touch with the assigned BUaS staff member, who can help connect you with the BUaS confidential advisor.

The IntroLINK organization reserves the right to remove any participant who acts in violation of this code of conduct from the event grounds, without being obliged to refund the entry fee.
